Miranda do Douro hosts ‘Meating’ on the 14th and 15th of September, the new gastronomy and music festival that aims to promote “the authenticity of Trás-os-Montes through the harmonization between gastronomy and music”, says a source from the organization.
The program’s menu includes four chefs, who will cook creative dishes outdoors whose main ingredient is indigenous breeds from Trás-os-Montes, namely Mirandesas, from beef to lamb.
Four national musicians will create concerts in collaboration with four local groups. There will also be street entertainment and games for the whole family, as well as a market selling traditional products from the region.
The event and some of the protagonists were presented in Lisbon, at BTL, on the 29th.
